Dr Samson Looi - Principal DentistSamson is the founder and principal dentist at ORA Dental. He graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2016 and has been practising since 2017, with broad experience across general, restorative, and surgical dentistry, including wisdom teeth and dental implants. Samson opened ORA Dental to build the kind of practice he'd want for his own family: calm, honest, and genuinely caring. He's a member of the New Zealand Dental Association and the Auckland Dental Association.

ORA Dental was created with one simple idea: that going to the dentist should feel calm, honest, and human. We're a general and family dental practice in Milldale, offering everything from routine check-ups to more complex treatment, all delivered with warmth and without judgment.
We also bring specialist care closer to home through ORA Orthodontics, where a registered specialist orthodontist provides braces and clear aligners right here in the practice, so your family's general and orthodontic care can live under one roof.
Our name, ORA, reflects what we're about: caring for your mouth and your overall wellbeing, together. That's why our promise is simple: Your smile, Your wellbeing.
Our approach
We believe good dentistry starts with listening. Before we pick up an instrument, we take the time to understand what's brought you in, what you're worried about, and what you'd like for your smile.
From there, we'll talk you through your options in plain language - no jargon, no pressure - so you can make the choice that's right for you. However long it's been since your last visit, you'll always feel informed, comfortable, and in control.
We're proud to offer a welcoming environment for everyone, including patients who feel nervous about dental treatment and families with young children. We also offer care in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, so more of our community can feel understood and at ease.

Dr Allen Hu - Specialist OrthodontistAllen is our visiting specialist orthodontist, leading orthodontic care at ORA Orthodontics.
Annie Cheng - Practice ManagerAnnie leads Practice Management at ORA Dental, overseeing the day-to-day running of the practice so every patient feels looked after from the moment they walk in. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) from AUT and is a NZ Registered Nurse, bringing a background in surgical nursing and a calm, detail-focused approach to the role.
