Orthodontics with Dr Allen Hu
Dr Allen Hu is a Specialist Orthodontist. He holds a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics and is registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand in the orthodontic specialist scope of practice. He treats children, teenagers and adults at ORA.

Your first orthodontic appointment with Dr Hu is half price until 30 September 2026. That brings it to $75 instead of $150.
What happens at your consultation
Dr Hu spends the appointment working out whether orthodontic treatment would help you, and if so, what it would involve. You leave knowing where you stand.
An examination of your teeth, bite and jaw

A discussion of your options, in plain language
A written treatment plan with full costs

Braces and Clear aligners
Dr Hu offers both. Which one suits you comes down to your bite, your teeth, and what you want to achieve, and that is what the consultation is for.
Fixed braces. Fitted to your teeth and adjusted as treatment progresses. Suits a wide range of cases, including more complex ones.
Clear aligners. A series of removable clear trays. Less visible, and you take them out to eat and clean your teeth.
Treatment can be paid monthly rather than up front. We go through the numbers with you before anything is booked.
